My Model Kitchen by Melody Vroom

I’m Melody, one of the spotted models from Spotted Style and recently I made an account on Instagram called @mymodelkitchen where I share healthy recipes and my tips and tricks to maintain a healthy body. Enough for the introduction, let’s get into this blogpost!

Since we’re in the middle of fall and getting into the winter time I thought I would share some warming, healthy fall/winter recipes with you guys, so here they are!

The first one is a hot chocolate with a twist. What you’ll need for this:

  • 200 ml almondmilk or any other non-dairy milk
  • 1 tablespoon of pure cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspon of agave syrup
  • Some whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon of cacao nibs

Put all of the ingredients in a pan on medium/high heat and stir frequently. When the mixture is hot, pour it into a glass, top it off with whipped cream, sprinkle some cacao nibs on top and enjoy! Couldn’t be more easy, right?


The second recipe is a yoghurt bowl. This is perfect as a snack or for breakfast! The ingredients:

  • However much yoghurt you want
  • Your favourite granola
  • 3 medjoul dates, chopped into little pieces
  • 3 dried figs, chopped into little pieces
  • A handful of your favourite nuts, mine are cashews and pecans
  • 1 tablespoon of cacaonibs
  • Drizzle of agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of gingerbreadcookie spices (koek- en speculaaskruiden for the Dutchies)

Start by shortly roasting your nuts in a pan without oil, just so they get warm and crispy. When the nuts are done roasting (make sure they don’t burn!), put your yoghurt into a bowl and top it with the granola, dates, dried figs, cacaonibs, roasted nuts, gingerbreadcookie spices and agave syrup.

The last one is apple pie oatmeal, it tastes like fall in a bowl! What you need:

  • 50 gr oats
  • 300 ml almondmilk
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger (or freshly grated)
  • 1 apple cut into pieces
  • A handful of mulberries
  • 1 tablespoon of (unsweetened and unsalted) peanutbutter

Start by adding your oats and almond milk into a pan. Bring to a boil on high heat while stirring frequently and when it starts boiling, turn the heat to medium. Now stir in the cinnamon, ginger and the apple cubes. Let this boil for a few more minutes until it has the thickness you like. When it’s done, pour it into a bowl and top it off with mulberries and peanut butter. Heaven in a bowl, I can tell you.



I can’t decide which breakfast I love more, the apple pie oatmeal or the yoghurt bowl. Make sure to try them both and let me know which one you like the most!
